Beautiful Lalaland: my portfolio previous to this one. It was originally designed to showcase my free work. The start page was designed by printing the layout of a content page, folding it, and creating a perspective projection of it.

Avenue1: Webdesign for design and art e-shop Avenue1. All images are copyrighted by their respective copyright owners and are used for dummy purposes only.

Hadassah Emmerich: website for artist hadassah emmerich. by opening pop-ups, the overlaying images give the site it's exotic vibrancy. Hadassah's paintings are artificial jungles, where a disorderly mass of vines slowly reveal a treacherous beautiful world.

sichtBAR: an online DVD collection. it includes a non-PHP search engine and many random features and gadgets. personal project.

becker & van de Graaf: a temporary brochure website for archeology bureau becker & van de Graaf, the first archeologists in the Netherlands that process their scientific data completely digital.

technique: html, js.

*c: design concept for *c, pronounced bureau c, the brain child of culture journalist Matt Verberkt and text writers Derix*Hamerslag. Their goal was to mediate between cultural initiatives and firms. Made for Creando.

ESFA europe: non-smoking site for kids age 10-17, their parents and their teachers, sponsored by the European Union. the trick is not to say how bad smoking is, but to show how cool non-smoking can be. made for creando.

la fortezza: A website about La Fortezza, the Maastricht housing project in Ceramique, designed by Swiss architect Mario Botta. Made for Portico Forum.

Barbara Haveman: Promotional website for soprano Barbara Haveman. It contains streaming media (audio and video), photographs and background information about several (classic) composers. online version differs from original design. Made for Portico Forum.

A76: Website for group exhibition A76 of the ABKM Fine Art department in the Suermondt-Ludwig-Museum in Aachen (D). With many kind regards to Raststaette Aachen and Wolfgang Knauff!

Frischen Moet: an animated new years e-card taking a pun on the unhealthy rise of nationalist feelings in the Netherlands. The fresh looking young man is Dutch crown prince Willem-Alexander. The text reads "Move forward with a spring in your step" (a very loose translation). Of course the Delft blue tiles are part of Dutch heritage. Normally they contain some wise words or a nostalgic image. Which makes this version as close to normality as I'd possibly dare…

Stichting Maastricht Art Promotion: The Stichting Maastricht Art Promotion is responsible for several large and smaller art venues in Maastricht, the Euregionale Kunstmarkt being the most well known. To promote their activities, Beautiful Lalaland sponsors them with a website and a refreshed logo. The link points to the site in development on a temporary URL.

Olivia Glebbeek: Artist Olivia Glebbeek's work is based on self projection, on worlds within worlds. The concept for her online portfolio is exactly that: by dragging the images and other elements around the page, the visitor can create his or her own world.

Aedgency: Advertising agency in Barcelona for which I work since March 2008. Aedgency's core business is selling online advertisement possibilities. all designs are made for internet, though they are closer to graphic design than webdesign.

webdesign: When designing for internet, usability and clear designing are the key: users too often get lost in the designer's technical know how. A smart engine is of course not to be underestimated, but let's not forget the other engine a website needs: the user's input.
